On The Side Of Me - Corrine May

Yesterday didn't go really well.
Thus the quote of the day - Shit Happens.

alright so here's what happened.
First we met up at CCK MRT Station and moved off in search for a suitable block to do our first scene.
We spent approx 30 - 45 mins walking from cck - teck whye - cck - south view
in search for block 219.
'cause of the lighting and whatever, we moved quite a few times.
Filming for the first scene was not an easy feat.
Reason being,
Jaya and I were new to this whole Acting thing.
And the first scene was a ' couple fight ' scene.
then we acted till it was more like gang fight or smth.
Then ya, i'm the female lead,
so you know, in relationships, girls must be more gentle etcetcetc.
after reviewing the video,
i looked 10 times more aggressive than Jaya.
But then this is a ' couple fight ' scene,
what do you expect?
LOL.

And during the filming of the ' couple fight ' scene,
i kicked the tripod stand.
and it bent.
So much that it couldn't close / needs a lot of strength to keep.
So Ben Yeo and Jaya spent about 30 mins tryna fix it.
sorry guys.

So yeah, in total, that scene itself took about 2 plus hours.

Then we moved to the bus stop.
That scene went pretty smoothly.

Went to the interchange to film Jaya's part.
quite a few screw ups there too.
Not quite sure what happened.
But they took quite a long time to film that scene.

Then we went to City Hall.
First stop,
Fu Nan.
Ben purchased his camera stuff.
Jaya had lunch,
went into cold storage,
the person shelving the wine bottles dropped one of them.
Spilled wine looked like blood.
- shit happens -
then we went to Clarke Quay.

Tunnel scene.
Was setting up the camera kit etc,
when a lot a lot a lot of photographers walked through the tunnel too.
They kept stopping by and talking to us, one said,
' oh, you're filming? Have fun! '
he even gave us advice.
thus the conclusion,
Photographers are nice people.

Tunnel scene was easy.
Except for the fact that too many people kept walking through it,
so we couldn't film.
waited very long before the tunnel was empty and then we proceeded to film.
Spent about an hour at that scene.

River-side scene.
went smoothly.

Female lead ' balancing ' scene.
went rather smoothly.
except for the fact that i probably looked really weird climbing that thing in the middle of a bridge,
everyone was staring at me.
LOL.

hopped off for a quick break,
when i came back,
Jaya and Ben were desperately looking for the camera cap.
first thought
' damn it. '
cock up no. 2
Jaya went off to look for it.

didn't find it.
forget it.
Move on with life, shall we?

Scene @ river-side, female lead scene.
that was when i saw Clare!
Wow,
how long has it been?
5 years?
and know what?
She's the first person from Nanyang Primary that actually recognized me.
She smiled.
i was like.
OMFG YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
hahahha,
okay so back to topic.
scene went rather well.

walked back to the opposite side of the river for the guy scene,
saw a Caucasian woman.
Drunk and all,
then we heard glass shatter.
came from the restaurant nearby.
- shit happens -

Scene @ river-side. Male lead scene.
while the guys were filming,
i took the chance to rest my weary legs.
Hey, it's been a long day okay!?
they were filing halfway when it started to drizzle.
cock up no. 3
Grabbed all our stuff and made a mad dash to the restaurant just behind us for shelter.
Was quite surprised that the staff didn't mind us.
Apparently they were killing time watching us film.
Haha.

When the rain went down a little,
we went out to shoot a scene as quickly as possible.
then,
IT STARTED TO POUR.
We all protected the camera instead of ourselves.
HAHA,
was shivering real bad.
Lucky i brought another set of clothes and jacket.

this was when i received a text.
oh wait,
i forgot to mention,
i haven't changed,
i was sitting at the staircase of the restaurant,
listening to Kiss The Rain - Yiruma
and ' guarding ' the bags.
Okay so back to story.
I cried upon receiving the text.
yeah.
It was 4.42pm.
the day was finally getting better.

okay so i went to change and everything,
When i came back,
i was listening to music (again)
and then this guy came up to us as approached Ben and Jaya for a photography job.
How lucky!
and this,
was the second of the good things that happened.

uhmmm,
i think after that it was already 4 plus 5.
so we were tired and then we headed back to Funan to get another Camera cap.
yeah,
then we went home.

i was super exhausted.
LMAO.

Another round of filming the coming saturday,
20 percent left.

alright,
think i've said quite enough.

goodbye.
